Iphone 4 Front Facing Camera Faulty ??

Hi guys


I've got a iphone 4 on ios 5.1 and every time i try and switch to the front facing camera the phone just crashes and I'm unable to switch back to the rear facing camera until i do a full reset.

There are loads of threads out there from people complaining about the problem but they are all old and know solution was found.


Is this a know fault now and is it just a case of replacing the camera?

From what I've just read (quick search on Google) it's a known issue w/ the front facing camera of the iPhone 4 and iOS 5.1. The only solution that I've seen work for other users (also found during the quick Google search) was to update to a newer iOS version.

But I've even see people have this issue with the new OS.

Is there any tests i can do ?

Nothing I can think of... short of a fresh restore to 6.0. That should clear up any issues if its a software glitch. Otherwise, replacement might be in order.
