I bought an iphone 3gs off someone but not sure what network it was on so it says it can't be activated without a SIM. Can I bypass this?

Nope. You'll have to buy a SIM. No way around that one. They're inexpensive though.

Ok, I did order a load of free Sims from all the networks yesterday so should get them in the post this week. Also the power button do t work, is there a way to get it into dfu with out it?
