Iphone 3gs wont activate

So awhile ago I jail broke and unlocked my iPhone 3gs and it worked fine. Then I bought an app that I later found out required iOS 6 and so I looked up/how to update jail broken iPhone 3gs and they said restore using iTunes. So I did but now when I try activating my iPhone it fails and says cannot activate at this time. What do I do?

I'm assuming you unlocked using UltraSn0w. UltraSn0w is only compatible on iOS 6.1 and below. If you're on 6.1.2 or 6.1.3, you either have to downgrade your iOS to one that's compatible, or use a SIM for the original carrier of the device

But sense I restored with iTunes it shouldn't be jail broken right?

Restoring will always wipe your device completely. You can rejailbreak it after.
