I'm using iOS 7 on an iPhone 4 and not having any issues with attaching photos to texts. Do you not have the camera icon to the left of the text entry field?

Dave, yes I do have that icon and have not used it before. Is that new with IOS7? My method in the past has ben to click on the image, click message, then insert the recipient and send, that has always worked. Feel free to educate this dumb airline pilot if there is a new way to do this...thanks!
Press that camera icon and you will be given the opportunity to take a photo or insert one from your camera roll. I think it was available earlier but I was jail broken on iOS 6, so it may not have been.
Either way, it's there now. I've been able to insert multiple photos, so that's pretty handy...
But, you should still be able to send photos from the camera roll...the method is different now. You bring up the camera roll and check the image you want to send. Then hit "next" top right of the screen. A new page comes up with option to email, message, FB, etc.
Do you get all that and still it won't send? Or was it just being unfamiliar with the new method?
You're welcome learjet. I honestly don't know if it was like this in iOS6 or not. That's how poor my memory is for little detail things like this. I often just figure them out as I go.
