Hello forum members and guests.
This guide is intended to help new iPhone users and veteran users a like.
If you feel like anything should be added to this list, please post a new comment with your tip.

There is also a basic iPhone Tips guide that is located here:
iPhone Tips

1)
iCloud supports Passbook Syncing, which keeps all of your passes in sync across your devices. (Unfortunately, Passbook doesnÂ’t run on iPad, just iPhone 3GS and later and fourth- and fifth-gen iPod touch.) To turn on Passbook Syncing via iCloud, visit Settings > iCloud, and flip the Passbook switch to On.

2)
Siri can now inform you on sports topics. She can tell you all about your favorite team from several pro leagues around the world: MLB, NCAA Football, NFL, NBA, NCAA Basketball, WNBA, and the NHL... You can ask about scores, game schedules, standings, player, and team information.

3)
In iOS 6, Siri can launch apps for you. Just say “Open (or Run) App Name,” and Siri will open the app on your iPad 3, fifth-gen iPod touch, or iPhone 4S or 5.

4)
You can post to Twitter and Facebook right from Notification Center once you enable the Share Widget in Settings > Notifications. Pulling down Notification Center will now display a “Tap to Tweet” and “Tap to Post” button that will bring up share sheets for Twitter and Facebook.

5)
Do Not Disturb lets you mute notifications that may interrupt you throughout the night/job/etc... Simply navigate to Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb to turn the feature on, set the hours, and choose whether to allow certain incoming calls. You can manually enable Do Not Disturb during nonscheduled hours by navigating to settings and flipping the Do Not Disturb switch to on. A moon will appear in the status bar when enabled.

6)
Siri can now check movie times via Rotten tomatoes, or check reservations at a restaurant just by asking.

7)
With iOS 6, Siri can update your Facebook and Twitter status with ease. Just say “Post to Twitter” (or Facebook), and she will guide you through the rest. You can tell Siri to include your location by saying “Tweet with my location,” and even add tags by saying “hashtag” before the word to be tagged.

8)
Siri can now provide you with turn-by-turn directions to your destination, via the brand-new Maps app in iOS 6. “Get me directions to the nearest gas station” will give you driving directions. While on route, you can also ask, “Are we there yet?”, “What’s my ETA?”, “What’s my next turn?”, and “Find a restaurant.”

9)
You can get more out of the 90-second music previews in the iTunes Store, because the previews keep playing while you browse around the store. They even play if you close the iTunes Store app to stop a preview in that case, double tap Home to open the multitasking bar, swipe right to get to the player controls, and tap Pause.

10)
DonÂ’t remember what you searched for on iTunes, The App Store, or iBooks? Use the new History button in the search bar to instantly pull up a list of your recently viewed items.

11)
You can “like” music, movies, and apps on Facebook. When browsing iTunes, the App Store, or iBooks, simply tap on the Like button in the Reviews tab to have your like instantly shared with your Facebook friends on your wall, or tap the Share button in the upper-right to post a link to the item on Twitter or Facebook, copy the link, or email or message it.

12)
With iOS 6, youÂ’re no longer required to enter your Apple ID credentials when updating apps from the App Store. Simply tapping the update button will prompt the App Store to download and install the latest app updates. You still need to enter your password to purchase and install new apps.

13)
When completing new App Store purchases (or app updates) in iOS 6, youÂ’re no longer abruptly returned to the home screen. Instead, the download and installation status is shown on top of the app icon on the purchase (or update) page of the store. Newly added apps have a new banner over their icons too.

14)
Panorama! Apple baked this into iOS 6, although, itÂ’s only compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and the fifth-gen iPod touch. To use it, open the Camera app and choose Options > Panorama. Hold the iPhone in portrait mode, tap the shutter button, and then slowly move your camera to the right -- youÂ’ll see a warning if you pan too quickly. To finish, tap the shutter button again.

15)
When someone is calling, the camera icon on the lock screen turns into a phone icon. Flick it up to reveal buttons for “Reply with Message” and “Remind Me Later.” Reply with Message lets you send a pre-formatted message to the caller. Remind Me Later offers to remind you to call back in an hour, or when you change locations.

16)
Dial assist automatically determines the correct international or local prefix when dialing. Previously, it would only automatically add the correct international prefix when dialing numbers abroad.

17)
If you donÂ’t like the pre-formatted messages in the Reply with Message feature, then you can change the three default messages and add your own messages by navigating to Settings > Phone > Reply with Message

18)
On the iPhone and iPod touch version of Safari, you can now see more when surfing the web thanks to full-screen browsing. Hold the device in landscape mode, then tap the button with the outward-facing arrows in toolbar at the bottom of the screen. The address and toolbar will disappear, leaving you with a full-screen website and semi-transparent Back and Exit Full Screen buttons in the bottom corners.

19)
Safari in iOS 6 can show you the tabs you have open in Safari on your Mac and other iOS devices. Open your Bookmarks and tap iCloud Tabs to see all of the opened tabs on your devices linked with iCloud.

20)
iOS 6 also brings along the Offline Reading List. Tapping the Share button and adding an item to your Reading List will now cache the webpage on your local device so that you can read it while disconnected from the Internet. ItÂ’s perfect for iPod touch or Wi-Fi-only iPad users.

21)
Tap the Share button in Safari to see the new share sheet that lets you share a webpage via email, iMessage/SMS, Twitter, or Facebook.

22)
One of the biggest additions to Safari is the ability to upload images to forms on websites. This means that you can take your photo and update your profile picture on social networks (like Twitter) right from your iPhone or iPad. When you tap the Upload button on a website, youÂ’ll get a popup allowing you to select from your deviceÂ’s photo albums.

23)
Safari in iOS 6 lets you view your browsing history with a simple tap-and-hold on the Forward or Back button. YouÂ’ll instantly see the last few webpages youÂ’ve visited, and tapping on any of the history items sends you back to that page.

24)
Copying the URL of a webpage in Safari is now easier. Before iOS 6, you had to tap-and-hold the URL in the address bar, choose Select All, and then tap Copy. But in iOS 6, Apple placed a Copy button in the share sheet. Tap Share, then tap Copy to copy the URL of the page to the clipboard, ready for you to paste into an email or any other app.

25)
Apple added Smart Banners to Safari to allow web developers to announce their mobile app in a subtle and efficient way. Smart Banners appear at the top of websites that have native app versions available. Tap Open to open the app (if you have it installed already), or View to open the app in the App Store for downloading and installing.

26)
Sharing photos with family and friends is now easier than ever with Shared Photo Streams in the Photos app. Just tap Edit, select the photos youÂ’d like to share, tap the Share button, and then Photo Stream. Type in the email addresses of those youÂ’d like to share with, specify a Photo Stream name, and then select whether or not to allow direct viewing of the shared Photo Stream on iCloud.com.

27)
Shared Photo Stream Notifications, Comments, and Likes
Whenever a photo is added to a Shared Photo Stream, users subscribed to that stream will automatically be notified of the added photos. People viewing your shared photos can “like” and leave comments on them, too.

28)
(Almost) Unlimited Selection for Facebook, Print, and Copy
In previous versions of iOS, Apple limited the number of photos that you could select to share, print, or copy to the pasteboard. In iOS 6, thereÂ’s an almost unlimited amount of photo selection for sharing to Facebook, Printing, or Copying to the clipboard.

29)
The Mail app in iOS 6 now supports VIP lists as well. To add a sender to your VIP list, tap on the sender’s name in an email and tap on the “Add to VIP” button. VIP notifications will appear as push notifications on your device, and can be customized by visiting Settings > Notifications > Mail > VIP.

30)
iOS 6 introduces a new dedicated Flagged mailbox that lets you keep track of the messages that you have flagged. This new box can be found by going to the Mailboxes overview and tapping the Flagged mailbox.

31)
iOS 6 lets you use a different signature for each email account. To make your per-account signatures, navigate to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Signature, and tap the Per Account button. YouÂ’ll see a text field for each account configured on your device. Type a signature into each text field, and when you send an email, the account-specific signature will be used.

32)
The Refresh button is gone from the Mail app in iOS 6. Instead, you can check for new messages by pulling the inbox down until you see the refresh icon and animation. Releasing the inbox will cause Mail to refresh the account. This works on single-account inboxes as well as the All Inboxes view.

33)
iOS 6 makes it easier to attach photos and videos to your emails without having to leave the Compose New Message view. Simply tap and hold in the body of the message you’re writing to bring up the editing contextual menu, and select “Insert Photo or Video.” (If you don’t see it in the first contextual menu, tap the right-facing arrow for more options.) This brings up the your Photos list, where you can select a photo or video to insert.

34)
iOS now brings email notification preferences. Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Mail, and select your individual accounts to set the notification preferences for each account.

35)
You can now change the order on a reminder list by simply tapping Edit on any list.

36)
Location-based Reminders are a great way of being reminded of tasks when you arrive or depart from a location, and in iOS 6, you can manually enter an address for iOS to geofence. Simply create your reminder as usual, and select “Remind Me at a Location.” After Reminders has determined your location, tap on the location, and then tap inside of the “Enter an Address” field to specify a different address.

37)
When the 3D button appears at the bottom of the screen in the maps app (beside the location button), tap it to shift the view so that the horizon is visible. When a building-like button appears in place of the 3D button, tap it to go into Flyover mode, which shows 3D aerial photos buildings in select cities. 3D maps and Flyover arenÂ’t supported on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and fourth-gen iPod touch.

38)
If you tap on the More button for a point of interest that happens to be a business, Maps can show you Yelp info for that business, a Reviews tab with Yelp reviews, and Photos tab showing recent Yelp user photos.

39)
Traffic info via maps:
Small icons appear on the map to mark accidents, alerts, and areas that are under construction. Maps uses this real-time information to calculate your ETA when youÂ’re using navigation.

40)
As you pan around the map, points of interest nearby will show up on the map: restaurants, gas stations, hotels, businesses, and so on. These points of interest are tappable, allowing you to get more information about them.

41)
The new version of Maps is more customizable than ever. To change settings like the navigation voice volume, distance measurements, map label languages, and the label size, visit Settings > Maps.

42)
In iOS 6, Find My iPhone has a new feature called “Lost Mode.” If your iOS device is lost or stolen, go to iCloud.com, where you can immediately lock your device and place a phone number on the screen so its finder can call you without accessing your personal data. While in Lost Mode, your device will report back its location whenever you request it. So be sure to turn on Find My iPhone in Settings > iCloud.

43)
The new Find My Friends app features new location-based alerts so that you can receive a notification whenever your friend arrives or departs a location.

44)
A new accessibility feature called Guided Access allows a single app to be locked to the screen. Users need a password to exit the app. Once itÂ’s enabled in Settings > General > Accessibility, you can start Guided Access by opening an app and tapping the Home button three times. Tap Home three times again to exit.

45)
There is a new Music equalizer setting in Settings > Music > EQ called “Late Night.”

I have been using iPhone 4S since two years, but didn't knew about many of these tips. They are really very helpful. Thanks for sharing
