Instagram continues to successfully take on Snapchat by today launching a new face filters feature. Basically, it's a way of adding all sorts of fun graphics to your Instagram pictures, with filters including math equations buzzing around your head, furry koala ears that twitch, and tiaras and garlands.
There are initially eight face filters available to use, and you can access them by opening up the Instagram camera in the app and tapping the new face icon located in the bottom right corner. When finished, you can send the images to friends either via Instagram Direct or include them in your Instagram story.
Other new features rolled out by Instagram today include Rewind, which is a new camera format, alongside Boomerang and Hands-Free, that creates videos that play in reverse.
Also included in the update is a new hashtag sticker. Simply tap the sticker icon at the top right of the screen, choose and customise the hashtag, and then include it in your story.
And finally for this update, Instagram has also added a new eraser brush to drawing tools that can be used to erase drawings or remove colour from photos.
