iCloud to iPhone issues

Hi All,

I'm trying to save photos from my PhotoStream to my iPhone but they aren't showing up. Are they only transferable when a wifi connection is established or can these be done over 3G? Standard iCloud only allows for files/photos to be saved for 30 days before automatic deletion, at least that's what i've been told by someone that works in the Apple shop. I want to save them before they vanish

Can anyone help with this?

Photo Stream requires WiFi to sync photos. Once the photo is synced you can copy it to your camera roll by tapping the box with the arrow coming out if it.
