I cant write anything

Hello I'm new here and I can't take and write any messages why is that so?

Write messages or send messages. Open up your Message.app, and on the main page of Message.app, there should be a little pad with a pen. Click that, then either enter in the contact information, or press on the little '+' sign to add from contacts. Or you can open up your Phone.app or Contacts.app, click on your contact, and tap Send Message.
