I have been using Siri a lot for texting, when driving, it seems to be taking a long time to send a message. due to the fact that Siri does not read back the message automatically I ask it to write.
Is there a way to get Siri to read back my messages without headphones plugged in or a Bluetooth headset connected?
This would really help me out a lot.
Thank you very much :)

Use a headset while driving at all times. For Siri to read back your text say "Siri read me my last text" then it will read it to you and give you the option to close or reply when you say reply it will ask you what you want to tell the person. once you tell Siri what you want to reply she will read back the message and ask you if you want to send or redo. However use a headset that's the safest thing to do while driving.

Thanks for your reply. I just tried it and although I haven't received a text since this morning when I asked her to read it back the response was "You have no new text messages."

But I will try it again with the next text I get.

I wouldn't say however this is a full proof method. Siri always shows a copy of the message you are sending before you send it for approval. So it sort of depends on how much faith you have in Siri to deliver your response correctly. If you have to look down to see what Siri says she's going to send then that's just as dangerous as any other texting and driving.

Illegal in Canada as well.

Siri always reads back a text before sending it - just does it automatically for me. I'm not sure, but I think if you go into "settings", "siri" and set "voice feedback" to always, Siri will read texts and ask for your approval before sending.

Does Siri read it when it's on vibrate? I can't have it reading while I'm at work.. Lol
