BGR features a really useful little tip today that you might not be aware of, I certainly wasn’t! As you know, Apple recently added interactive notifications to iOS, which you can interact with in a variety of ways, such as replying directly via the notification to a text message or iMessage.

However, one other way in which you can interact with the notifications is to call someone immediately you’re reminded to call them, which could be a pretty handy time-saving trick. Instead of just setting a reminder to call someone and then dialling them separately, you can actually set up your phone to call the person via the official Apple Reminders app.

Basically, all you have to do is ensure that the person you want to call is in your contact list, and then create the reminder via Siri, e.g., tell Siri you want to call someone in five minutes. Then, when the reminder pops up on your notification screen, simply swipe left to open up the option to either “Snooze” or “Call” the contact in question.
