Just received an iPhone 4.. The screen doesn't go on.. Tried charging it but even the artery doesn't show..
What steps would you recommend I take?

What was the catch on the iPhone before you bought it. Did the previous owner state that the iPhone would be like this and why it was like this.

Tried that, neither the computer or iTunes recognizes it.

I didn't buy it.. It was a friends and she asked me If I could take a look at it for her..

Might be battery problem. I believe that is a screen problem, you will still hear a sound when connecting to PC. Did you try leaving it on a charger?

Yeah tried leaving it on the charger for hours but nothing happens.. Screen remains black..

press n hold Power n Home button at the same time for atleast 15 seconds... n then let us know...!!
