HarperCollins Children's Books has just released its ABC Song app and 123: Ants Go Marching App to the App store for iPhone and iPod touch. The apps form part of HarperCollins' Curious Puppy program of online educational games.

The apps are specially designed to help young children and toddlers get ready for school and preschool with interactive, fun content.

The ABC Song app makes learning the alphabet into a fun game with catchy music and irresistible graphics that bring the letters to life. The 123: Ants Go Marching app takes a similar approach but with numbers instead of letters with a new take on the children's rhyme. Here's Susan Katz, President and Publisher, HarperCollins Children's Books, talking about the apps:

"Children interact with technology at increasingly younger ages, and our apps are an easy way for parents to offer kids an interactive and educational experience. With the launch of these educational apps for kids, we are also launching Curious Puppy, our first e-imprint. Together they show that learning can be fun year-round and mobile applications are a convenient option to keep a child engaged on the go."

Both apps are available for $0.99 each from the App Store here, and are compatible with both iPhone and iPad.
