Google announced its Inbox email app back in October, last year. Up until today, access to the app was available on a invite-basis only, but now Google has announced that it is making Inbox app available to everybody.

Google also introduced a new “Trip Bundles” feature that keeps emails related to travel in one place, and also improved controls for things like Undo Send, Signatures, and Swipe to Delete. Alex Gawley, Director of Product Management, said the following on the official Gmail blog:

"Back in October we introduced a new type of inbox—one that works for you. Since then you’ve told us what you like best about Inbox by Gmail, as well as how we can make it better. And we want to say thank you. Because of your feedback, we’re improving many of your favorite features, and launching your most highly-requested ones. So sit back, relax and enjoy all the updates."

If you want to download the app on your iPhone or iPad, you just need to follow the link from below to do so. Let's have a look at the main features of the app:
  • Highlights - Get the most important information without even opening the message. Check-in for flights, see shipping information for purchases, and view photos from friends right up front.
  • Bundles - Similar messages are bundled together so you can deal with them all at once. And get rid of them with one swipe.
  • Reminders: More than mail, you can add Reminders so your inbox contains all the things you need to get back to.
  • Snooze: Snooze emails and Reminders to come back when you are ready to deal with them: next week, when you get home, or whenever you choose.
  • Search: Inbox helps you find exactly what you’re looking for— from your upcoming flight to a friend's address— without having to dig through messages.
  • Works with Gmail: Inbox is built by the Gmail team, so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and always will be.

I'm using the app since October or November. I'm surprised that it hasn't been available before.
