E-mails reappearing when deleted

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has this problem. I have my e-mail set to manually fetch, no push notification. So when checking for e-mails in the mail app, if I delete any after viewing, sometimes when I check for e-mails the next time after the ones I previously deleted reappear. I have the setting to delete from server when deleted from the phone, so not sure why they are in effect, being re-sent. Also I sometimes have the badge showing on mail app to indicate I have mail when this is set to fetch not push. Any help with this would be gratefully appreciated!

My i4s does the same thing all the time.
I have deleted and reinstalled my email accounts and it still does this.

I cant seem to delete from my trash items, I delete them and then the message 2read items appears so have they been deleted? Or are they taking up space on my phone?
