Changing SMS Bubble Color

This has been driving me nuts and I cannot find a solution. Hoping one of you can assist me.

Using the licensed version of iFile, I'm under /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Chatkit.framework and my bubble images are not appearing, so I'm not able to change the color. I don't have a third-party messaging app. Any ideas?

Late response, but you can use Message Customizer to do so. You make it so that it has a picture to it, different colors, and if you know the hex, you can enter that as well IIRC. Saves you the trouble of having to remember the originals or keeping backups of it.
