Calendar Alert Duration

I am sure there is a setting for this, but I cant find it. If I set an alert for a calendar app, the alert tone is very short. It is easy to miss in a noisy environment. Is there a way to extend the duration of the alert? Is there a way for the alert to sound every fem minutes until I dismiss it? If these feature are not available, is there a third part app to accomplish it?

Go into Sounds (in the Settings app), and select "Calendar Alerts." If you scroll down, there is the ability to put a ring tone onto the calendar alert. So, maybe make an alert out of a long (and LOUD) ringtone? It worked when I tested it with one of my ringtones...

As far as I know, there is no way to have the alert keep sounding until you get to it. All I know you can do is to set two alerts/reminders in the calendar app. Sorry.
