Last week, AT&T managed to acquire one of Mexico's wireless providers lusacell. Following this acquisition, the U.S. carrier announced on Tuesday an update to its current AT&T World Connect Value plan.

New and current AT&T World Connect Value plan subscribers will now get unlimited calling to Mexico for the low price of $5/month per line. Along with this new deal, World Connect Value subscribers will also receive discounted calls to 225 other countries around the world.

This deal is great for folks who do business or have family living in Mexico. It seems like just yesterday folks were going out to liquor stores and purchasing those colorful calling cards. Nowadays there are so many ways to keep in contact with people in other countries, we don't see stores selling calling cards as much.
