Finally. FINALLY, fall weather has arrived in my part of Northern California and I've gotta tell ya, its GLORIOUS.
It started out with brief, heavy rain around 1:30 this morning. It only lasted five to ten minutes but it came down so furiously that it woke me out of a sound sleep. The early part of the day was cloudy, gloomy, and cool.
But then, ahhh, the sun came out. And the world began to shine. I've always loved this time of year. It's cool but not cold. The air smells wonderful after the rain. A slight breeze came up - brisk but invigorating. And the air, that fresh, lovely smell of fall.... You can't beat that smell on the breeze. Unfortunately, fall lasts not nearly long enough.
