Apple has seeded the first beta to its upcoming watchOS 2.2 software to developers. This new update comes just over a month after Apple released watchOS 2.1 to the public.

watchOS 2.2 beta notes don't specify exactly what was changed in the software. One notable feature found in the beta software is the ability to pair more than Apple Watch to a single iPhone. Folks hoping to pair multiple watches must be running iOS 9.3 beta on the iPhone they wish to pair with.

Developers can update to watchOS 2.2 beta through the Watch app on an iPhone running the iOS 9.3 beta seeded earlier today. To update, the Apple Watch must be placed on a charger and have at least 50 percent battery.

iOS 9.3 beta 1 also allows for password protection for individual notes in the Notes app.
