Apple and NBC team up to provide special Winter Olympics coverage.JPG

MacRumors reports that with the official launch of the 2018 Winter Olympics on Friday in Pyeongchang, South Korea, Apple and NBC have partnered-up to launch a special portal that will cover the news from the Games.

You’ll find the Winter Olympics coverage in a special section of the “For You” area of the Apple News app, and it will include articles, videos, and other types of coverage during the 2-week duration of the games, such as live streams and full replays of events, which will all be directly linked to the NBC Sports app. Specific clips can be viewed from within Apple News.

Although NBC is Apple’s partner for this new feature, according to the original report in TechCrunch, some of the content will be provided by other sources.

The new section will also include a handy planner so that you can arrange your viewing schedule so that you don’t miss anything. You can even add events to your calendar. Other features include a medal tracker and daily news roundups.
