For those who did not get the “final reminder” from Apple, be aware that the iWork.com beta website will stop functioning in exactly one week (July the 31st) thus making obsolete any documents users have not yet moved.

Apple has repeatedly warned users of the demise of iWork.com and advises them to immediately log into their accounts and download their files on their personal devices, so as to ensure they will not be lost.

“We recommend that you immediately sign in to iWork.com and download all you documents to your computer. For detailed instruction on how to save a copy of your documents on your computer, read this support article at Apple.com
Moving forward, you can use iCloud to store your documents and make them available across your computer and your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch,” says the Apple warning.”

The iWork platform was launched as beta back in 2009 offering Mac user the possibility to create a bridge between them and users of Windows operating system, thus ensuring a simpler way to work. But with the iCloud now offering services and improved options to move documents around, Apple has finally decided to axe iWork.com.
