Annoying announcement for in-coming Messenger calls

When I receive an incoming Messenger call, the phone quickly announces who is calling, but then rattles off a bunch of numbers and letters for next 5-10 seconds. How do I turn this off, without simply silencing my phone? iPhone 12 Pro Max, latest software downloaded.

Hello J.A.! It is the Messenger program associated with Facebook.

Is it possible that the messenger shows the link to the caller‘s Facebook profile?

I don‘t know a setting that allows changing this behaviour. Maybe someone else can help.

Have you tried turning off Notifications for this App in Settings?

Try Settings>Notifications >Announce Notifications. ypu may need to scroll down to the app you are using at change it there.
