I need to carry a notepad or two of important info e.g. bank account No. emails & passwords and so on. Can I do this on the iphone so that a passcode is needed to open the note?

On 3rd party apps that emit sounds e.g. audio reminder alerts, the sound is not heard. The app pop-ups work, my iphone alarm clock & timer work but my 3rd party Apps are in 'silent mode'. Is it a setting needing adjustment, an IOS 12 issue or my phone is sick?

Not skilled at this. The old 5s is in the bin. Dead. Before I can 'restore' I need to upgrade the 6s to IOS 12. Apple wants me to respond to a PINCODE sent to my SiM. But the sim wont work while the 6s is 'empty' of any IOS.
