Turn off iCloud photo sync, then enable photos to be synced through iTunes, I'll pull all the photos off your phone and onto your computer. Do you have a Mac or PC? My next step is different for both.

When you plug your phone into your computer. Click on the drop down arrow listing all the sections. Select photos and uncheck. It'll ask you to sync again to apply the setting.

He is right, some developers disable landscape. I did some checking and found that you are correct, both Facebook and YouTube don't go into landscape through normal browsing (not watching a video) however YouTube automatically rotated when i selected a video.

Try turning off your orientation lock by swiping up from the button and hitting the lock icon. If it's red, your orientation lock is on, if it's not red, it's off (allows the screen to rotate)
