Why does my iphone die so fast??

My battery life is awful. All location services are off email is on push but that shouldn't drain it like mad. And brightness of screen is down to a minimum.
Any ideas? I tried doing a network reset from reading the apple boards that seems to of worked but not for me! I know you iPhone gurus will chime in!!

If you get a lot of e-mails, push will eat up your battery, because push is constantly polling the server for new mail. Set Push to off, and update to manual or a set interval, if you want to save your battery.
