What is the advantage of jail breaking?

I may switch from a Droid to an Apple iphone5. I will miss Flash and being able to download non apple Apps. Is there any other advantage?

My particular field of expertise is iOS Jailbreaking and Unlocking.


Basically jailbreaking allows you to do what you would be able to on an Android (sorta).

At the end of the day, Android is an open source OS, meaning you have a lot more flexibility in what you can do. You can openly mod your device and such with a rooted Android. Comparatively speaking, the 5 has more dependencies than the Android. And you can root an Android whenever it gets updated. iOS jailbreaking depends on whether or not there's an exploit that can be found and taken advantage of.

Agreed. I rooted all of my android devices and I LOVE my iPhone 5. I'll never go back!
