The iCar

I find the current rumours about the iCar to be hysterical. That is not a prototype of a new iCar in those photos, here is why:

1 - A prototype car would not have a GPS and cameras on the roof. A mapping vehicle would.

2 - If Apple were to make a car it would definitely not be an SUV. It would look like one of those tiny two seater smart cars.

3 - It would be very hard to manufacture a car with a battery that can't be removed.

4 - Considering how anal Apple is about their engineering they would have to hire every engineer in Silicon Valley.

5 - The auto industry is a large volume/low profit business. Apple is a large volume/high profit business.

6 - Technology in the auto industry changes so rapidly they would have a hard time hitting a moving target.

Of course if they do build an iCar it won't have any windows. (boom crash)

I heard they were working on a boat. They were going to call it the iTanic, but it kept syncing when it was docked.

I would be interested to see what apple does with a car but would likely not buy one
