Synch

Hello, I am new ti iPhone, and was used to the old way of copy files, now my question is if I press synch on the iTunes, will all the data from my phone be deleted?
I want to keep phone contacts, notes, and some files installed from cydia.
But I want just to synch music, videos and photos.
Any help?

No, your contacts, pictures, SMS, and all other personal stuff will be preserved. Have no fear. And welcome to the forum BTW.

To Bab2010: A very basic question. What exactly does "synch" do in iTunes? Does the command transfer items from the PC to the iPhone, or the other way around, or both? Does the action of "synching" make all things equal on the PC AND the iPhone? If yes, why do so many people write about losing their Contacts, etc., while synching?
