Is there a simple way to have a ringtone sound once or twice then switch over to vibrate?
Even a ringtone which only rings twice if the switch to vibrate isn't possible.
Thx,

OK, I can find a single beep mp3 file and convert it to AAC then rename to m4r extension.
Using ifunbox, I can upload it to the ringtones folder in the iPhone.
However, when the tone is selected as a ringtone, it keeps repeating .
I guess I need to create a ringtone with a beep followed by silence .
How can I do that pls ?

The ringtone mat be 30 seconds.
A txt tone needs to be like 2-3 seconds.

Thx that did the trick.
I just used Audacity to record the beep and let it continue recording silence for 30 secs or so .
Uploaded it to var/stash/ringtones using ifunbox and all ok !!

Why don't you just use iTunes to edit the sound down to 30 seconds. Or 2-3 seconds.

Well I didn't know how to do that and also, I try to keep away from I.T.

Click on a song in iTunes.

Rite click, Click Create AAC Version.

On the copy, rite click, then click "Get Info"

Then click the Options tab. Adjust we're the song starts and ends in the "Start Time" and "Stop Time".

Like I said before, 30 secs for a ringtone, 2-3 secs for a txt tone.

Drag that song to a folder on your desktop.

Rename the .m4a file to .m4r. Now drag it back to music library and it should show up in your "Tones" section.
