No Network after unlock

Hi Everyone

Hope you can help a struggling dad with his daughters iphone!

Have paid for official unlock & connected iTunes - congrats your phone is now unlocked, but when new sim is inserted No Service(network)
Have restored to factory settings but still no joy.
Any Ideas?

What happens if you reinsert the original SIM card?

We get carriers signal, weak but it's there

Is there anyone else whose has a phone you could try the new sim in to make sure it isn't faulty?

You could also go to the carrier you got your new SIM card from and see if you can test another card, in case the one you got is faulty. If the problem persists with a new SIM card there is the possibility that your phone is having problems reading the SIM card.

Thanks to you all for input, but have now found out that phone is Blocked, not sure why it took 4mths to block but their you go!
