Need Some Help

New to the boards! Got an iPhone 4 and I'm on the 5.1

any live weather and or clock apps that appear on your home screen? not a fan of jailbreaking so im trying to do this with out messing my device up or JBing it.

Unfortunately, the only way to put a running clock or a weather widget on you iPhone IS to jail break it. Sorry.

But, there is a tethered jail break for the iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1. So, it's available to you ... and, it won't harm your phone. Honest!

Although with a 1 finger swipe from top to bottom you can see live weather and time as well as a myriad of other things in the built in “Notification Center” from any screen BUT lockscreen….

It would be rather asinine to tether jailbreak 5.1.

If you going to jailbreak.(which is worth it in every way) then you should update to 5.1.1 so you don't have to use redsn0w on every flippin reboot.

Just makes sense.

5.1.1 jailbreak is very stable anyway. Most stable iOS 5 JB yet.
