My ideas to improve the patent system

Two things I'd like to see to improve the patent system:

1) Patents that were received from another entity can not be used in patent litigation
2) Patents can not be used in patent litigation unless the patent holder has the technology being distributed, now or in the past, to a customer

I know nothing of patent law but feel the above points may help curb patent trolls.

Google bought Motorola then turned around and sold it to Lenovo at a loss. Everybody cried and said Google erred. What may not be so well known was what NOT included in the sale to Lenovo - the PATENTS! Yep, Google, according to how patent law works, came out very much on the upper end of the whole transaction. Now they can sue people for using technology developed by someone else in a way the original developer did not consider egregious. Not fair to people that had an implied ok to use said technology...
