Loop/Passcode Issue

I have a phone that onky turns on when plugged into a wall charger. When it does boot up there is a passcode lock on it. After a few minutes it reboots. Im t



hinking the reboot is due to a bad battery?

You need a new battery and/or a check that the all the battery related components are in place. Assuming this is a regular issue, replacing the battery will help as well as putting in the correct passcode if you don't want to DFU restore the device

Would i use redsnie to dfu restore? i downloaded gecko would that work?

Now when i try to restore it gets stuck on "waiting to reboot" on gecko

Why would you use RedSn0w to DFU restore.... iTunes does it perfectly fine....

Itunes doesnt recognize my phone

If iTunes doesn't recognize your device, then none of the other utilities will recognize your device.

so what do i do?

Uninstall your USB drivers and reboot your pc. Plug your iPhone back into your computer and wait for iTunes or my computer to recognize it. Otherwise uninstall iTunes, uninstall your USB drivers, reboot, reinstall ones and try again
