Just out of curiosity, x = 12 cm?
(Going by the formula "a squared x b squared = c squared")

The formula is "a squared plus b squared is c squared", as far as I know.
16 + 9 = 25
The square root of 25 is 5.

Ah, we add the two squares instead of multiplying them.. thank you so much. It seems like a lifetime since I've had to use the pythagorean theorem.
