9to5 Mac has just posted an intriguing picture of what one of their readers thinks could be an iPhone 5, snapped in the wild in San Francisco this week. 9to5 Mac says that the source sent them the pictures after seeing what he presumed to be an Apple employee using the phone on the way home from work. The person that took the photos said that the pictures do not actually do the device justice, and that he managed to get a very good look at it, and is convinced that it is not an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 3GS. He also told 9to5 Mac that he wasn’t sure until he saw the pictures of the green silicon iPhone 5 case that 9to5 Mac posted yesterday, and realised that the device he had seen looked as if it would be a perfect fit for the new case. The man clearly got a good look at the phone, as he said, and was able to see that its screen size was “almost EVO-like”, and that it was thinner and wider than the iPhone 4. He said that the edges are metal and similar to those of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and that the back was made of tapered glass or plastic, and he thought most likely it was glass. The reader also noticed that the man holding the phone had the Apple logo covered most of the time, except for the instant when he managed to take the photos, and he felt that he was clearly trying to hide something. So, all very cloak and dagger, it may or may not be true, but you can always tell an Apple launch is near when these sorts of stories start appearing!

Correct me if I am wrong, however, was the iPhone 5 not to have the flash and camera separated from one another?
