is there ANYWAY to downgrade IOS 10 back to 9.3.5

I recently upgraded my iphone 5 and really would like to go back to 9.3.5

is there anyway to go back even though the 9.3.5 ipxw file is unsigned? like to hear from folks who have actually done this recently

Welcome to iPhoneForums!

You won't hear from anybody successfully reverting to iOS 9.3.5, it's impossible. Apple made sure some time ago that installing software not signed by them doesn't work. If you try, you'll get error 3194, or something Similar.

It's impossible to downgrade. Basically, Apple stops signing the software which makes it impossible for the phone to read it, says it is invalid. only iOS 10+ is allowed.

Currently Apple is only signing iOS 9.3.5 for devices that can't be upgraded to iOS 10, such as iPhone 4S and iPads 2 and 3.

Found a guide to EDITED, it says you need to download a previous iOS 9.3.5 ipwf file.

That procedure will no longer work as Apple is stopped signing iOS 9.3.5.
