Ipod help

I hav a jail broken 3rd gen iPod touch. Recently the backlight went out I can see the scene barely but there's no light. I already checked the brightness and I havent had time to download any cydia tweaks so is this a hardware problem or something I can fix by pressing a few buttons.

Most likely a hardware problem. You can try restoring it to see if that fixes it, but usually lack of backlight is a hardware problem. You will have to buy a replacement LCD
