Today was my first day with the iphone and Endomondo, a cycle tracking app. The phone seems to work with great precision wrt position and distance travelled but it is power hungry. The battery was 90% depleted after 3hrs 30mins. This is disappointing. Is this rate of power consumption typical? Does any have tips as to how power can be saved?

Well you can turn off options such as bluetooth/lower battery...etc
