Welcome to iPhoneForums, musafir!
Usually, you go to Phone - Recents, tap Edit at the top and then Clear appears, so you can remove all calls at once, or you use the red dots with the - to get rid of them.
If that doesn't work:
Try the usual fixes: force close the app, restart or reset.
To force close, double tap the Home button to show the App Switcher, then slide the Phone app thumbnail towards the top of the screen.
To restart, turn off your iPhone and turn it on again.
To reset/reboot, press and hold Home and Power button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. As soon as you see it, let go of both. Your device will power up on it's own.
