iPhone 4S - issue with creaking/clicking noise from back panel

Today I noticed a sort of creaking/clicking noise from the back panel of my iPhone. It happens whenever I press on the backpanel anywhere below the Apple logo.

What is causing this and what can I do to fix it? Or at least make it go away for long enough for me to sell it.

The only reason I even bought an iPhone is because of the built quality, and this is making me regret my choice.

Welcome to iPF, I think you should take it to the nearest Apple store and show it, they may arrange for a replacement. If you have lots of data on the iPhone, don't forget to take a backup so that you can restore it later.
