iphone 4 speaker problem

hi, really need some help. my iphone 4 speaker(the bit you talk into) isnt working so no one can hear when i talk on the phone. if i turn it off and back on and ring some one straight away it works but if i put the phone down and try again it wont. i dropped the phone earlier today so not sure if that caused it but is abit strange that when i turn it off and back on it works for a while. really need it fixed does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance

Try a hard reset.

Good chance that something is loose now after the drop. It may be loose at a solder point witch means to Apple you will go.
