Might have screwed up when updating the firmware in my phone. I backed up my phone and synced it the day before I updated to iOS5. Something happened during the update and the iOS was updated but I lost all my apps, music and videos. I have since reloaded my apps by going to updates in the store and using the purchased button.
I tried to drag and drop my music onto the phone and there is nothing happening. Then ITunes is welcoming me to my new iPhone. I'm not sure what to do next. If the only solution is to restore the phone I will. Does that mean I lose data within apps too?
