on my laptop for gmail, there is primary, social and promotions tab. On my iPhone gmail app, there is only inbox. Do all three come in or just primary? I think sometimes all three come in but it's not consistent.

All three come in, but as your built in Mail app has just an Inbox, they all are visible there.
JA, actually, I don't see any of the social emails or promotion come in. It looks like it just filters it so only my primary ones show up on the phone. Is there anyway to change it on the gmail app for the iphone 6?
The Gmail app has a Primary, Social and Promotion tab. Inbox is another app for Gmail, and works a bit different, but you can see there if it's an email from Primary, or Social.

Hmm,,, my phone only has a "gmail" button. When I click it, it only gives me mail under "inbox" which looks like its just primary. Can't set it to include the other two and does not look like there are options to bring them in.
