I was walking home from class and found an iPhone (pretty sure it's a 3G) in the grass next to the sidewalk. It is locked with a passcode and the power button is missing/broken off of the top right of the phone. I don't think it's connected to a cell phone plan as the screen says no service all the time. I know there are ways to unlock it using the power button but I do not have that luxury. Are there any other procedures or programs to get around the passcode? Thanks!

PS: I have been checking on craigslist to see if anyone lost one and have also informed the university lost and found.

Maybe the owner of that iPhone got irritated as he/she found out that there is no network service on that area LOL!

The only way is to restore the iPhone.

Ha I don't think that's the case, plenty of iPhones around Lincoln, NE. How do I go about restoring the iPhone?

I plug it in to iTunes and it says I need the passcode.

Our forum doesn't condone the discussion of lost or stolen iDevices. Thread closed.
