Glad to hear you got things solved. I had to redo my left thumbprint once myself. I think what happened was this....when I first set it up the phone was new and I didn't know exactly what position that thumb would be in when touching the sensor. After a few days I settled into a routine for using it and was touching a slightly different part of my thumb to it. It's been working fine since. I hope your troubles are over.
