5. When do you need to recover from iDevice?

Notes:

* If you erased all contents in Reset section of General on you Device, or you've restored the device in iTunes, that’s the worst condition since the data is completely erased completely, and no one can recover anything even iFonebox.

* Existing media files in Camera Roll, Photo Stream, Message Attachment, and Voice Memos can be backed up to PC/Mac in their original formats, such as JPG, MOV, and m4a.



6. When do you need to recover from iTunes Backup files?

* Got iDevice lost

* Got iDevice water-damaged

* Got iDevice crashed

* Any case that the iDevice is not able to be started again and you've backed up data in iTunes before.


7. How to recover data with iFonebox?

To recover data with iFonebox is easy. It has two modes, recover from iOS device and recover from iTunes backup.

If you hope to recover from the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, please follow the following steps.


1) Install and register iFonebox. This step is only required for the first time launching.

2) Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch to the computer.

3) Enter your home screen on the device and press Trust if you are running iOS 7 and above.

4) Click Recover from iOS Device and wait while iFonebox is scanning your device. It will take a while if you have large data on the device.

5) Check what iFonebox can recover in different tabs and choose which one to be recovered.

6) If you’d like to recover Contacts and Notes, you can edit and transfer the data directly from iFonebox to the Device.

7) For other data, you can click Recover button to recover to your computer. When the task is done, the output folder will pop up with recovered data in different folders.

You can recover Contacts, Messages, Call History, Notes, Calendar, Reminders, some photos’ thumbnails from Camera Roll of iOS 5/6 devices, and Safari Bookmark.



To recover from iTunes Backup is also a piece of cake.

1) Launch iFonebox.

2) Click Recover from iTunes Backup button.

3) Choose the backup file you’d like to recover from and click Scan.

4) Wait until iFonebox finish the scanning. It will take a while if you have large data on the backup file.

5) Check what can be recovered in different tabs and click Recover to put the recovered files to your computer.

6) If you are recovering Notes and Contacts, you can connect your device and click Transfer all selected to device button and transfer them to your iOS device.

You can recover Text content: Contacts, Messages, Call history, Calendar, Notes, Reminder, Safari bookmark; Media content: Camera Roll, Photo Stream, Message attachments, Voice memos.
