Ok, so this kid I know just traded his iPod touch 4 for a 3g iPhone. Wanted me to jailbreak and unlock it. Only problem is, the home button is broken and he doesn't have enough money to fix it. So usually I would put it into dfu using redsn0ws dfu ipsw option. Only problem is, the phone is stuck on the activation screen in iTunes "please insert valid SIM, no option to restore. Every method of putting the phone into dfu without home button, that I have read, is dependent upon the iTunes restore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really would like to help out this kid.
