Contacts

In "Contacts", if I accidentally put in a new field name like "cell" and then decided I no longer want it, how do I delete it. Also can I add fields that can be used on all contacts? Is there a file somewhere that I can edit these names in?

You have to edit each contact with or use a program that manages your contacts. As far as the cell field name just deselect it and select the appropriate field name.
