Bought used Iphone 4 16gig. NEED HELP!!!

Ok, I just recently purchased a used iphone 4 16g (yesterday), it is sunday so all of the cellular stores are closed, and I am stressing beyond belief over this (I paid a god amount of money for the phone). I purchased the phone mainly because of the amout of music on it, (2000+ songs). I am wondering if there is any way that i can put my new sim card in the phone, and then plug it into my itunes WITHOUT losing the music. I really really really dont want to lose the music on the phone. Is it possible that I can register it and stuff without losing it? please help, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ive used xilisoft products in the past. Never really had a need to transfer music from my phone though.
