At first glance, average consumers might be confused as to what Apple's new 3D Touch technology actually does. On Monday, Apple Stores in San Francisco and New York have added "Force Touch" tables to show off the new feature, found in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

The so-called Force Touch tables have eight iPhone 6S models laying flat on a giant display. Walk-in customers can go up to the iPhone models, swipe, and watch as the ripples in the digital water come off the iPhone display and onto the table behind the devices. The table uses 3D Touch and displays a fish swimming in the rippling watch.

No word on whether Apple plans to bring this interactive table to more Apple Stores. However it would be neat to check one out if you're in the area, or you can peep the video below.
